Obvious Summer Jobs For Teens

Gardening and outdoor work is another way for young people to earn some extra cash when they have a break from school. Almost everyone takes a trip away from home during the summer and while they are gone, they need someone to come by to water the garden, pick weeds and mow the lawn. A teen with an entrepreneurial spirit can print up some flyers early in the season, drop them in the neighborhood mail boxes and then wait for the calls to come in. If they provide quality work at an affordable price, both young men and women can expect this to be a lucrative job year after year.

As the child matures they can certainly think about entering the trenches and taking on a “real” job. Most of the major fast food chains are chomping at the bit trying to recruit young men and women to work for them, not only during the summer months, but after school and weekends too. These jobs for teens are often the best way for a young person to enter the workforce as they provide great training, a friendly atmosphere to learn and work in and also chances for advancements and raises. Many also offer teens scholarship opportunities.
